About us

Founded in 1992, as a traditional Montessori Nursery School we also now offer full time care for children 1 – 5 years in a quiet and cosy environment. Our aim is to provide a stimulating school day involving learning and activities as well as the extra care in a home from home environment. The children are taught in small groups and our emphasis is on learning through fun.

Our experienced staff encourage children to reach their full potential, giving each child daily one-to-one attention. Wee Ones aims to stimulate children within a prepared and structured environment, to provide security and to make their first experience of school enjoyable and rewarding.

Our goal is to give them a sense of achievement and to inspire them to want to learn more. In doing so we hope to give them a solid foundation for their future schooling.

The Montessori Classroom is naturally structured, a place where children are free to explore. They are encouraged to work at their own pace and are introduced to new subjects individually as and when they are ready. We cover the Early Years Curriculum and use multi-sensory activities to stimulate and enable the child to reach their full potential. There is an outside play area and garden which contains amongst other things, climbing equipment, tricycles and various garden toys.

Message from the Principal:

I wanted to be able to provide an environment where children could enjoy a relaxed and happy day as well as be involved in school life. It may be the first time a child is left in unfamiliar surroundings. At Wee Ones we hope to make every day warm and caring, in a space where parents feel happy to leave their children knowing that they are not only loved and cared for but also extremely well taught. It may be the first opportunity they have to begin to make their own way in life and make their own friends. It is also a vital part of their development at a time when they are like sponges eager to absorb any new information.

At Wee Ones we not only consider your child’s development but also understand the importance of you, the parent, and the link between home and school life. Our staff at Wee Ones are highly experienced, ensuring each child flourishes in a happy, secure and stimulating surroundings enabling them to move confidently to the next stage of their education.
